Moral Stories That Shape Us
Moral stories have been shared across generations and cultures as a way of passing down wisdom, values, and life lessons. Across every culture, moral stories have been used to teach what it means to live with integrity, kindness, respect, and responsibility. These stories may be ancient or modern, but their messages remain influential today. Our Year 8 students have explored moral tales from their own cultures or others they admire, uncovering the values and lessons at the heart of each one. These stories are more than just entertaining—they offer insight into how people, across time and place, have expressed universal human values. In reflecting on these lessons, students consider how they can apply the same values in their lives, shaping how they think, act, and relate to the world around them and the kind of people they want to become.
